We are currently looking for a General Manager - Electrical for a leading player in the E&E Manufacturing Industry for their expansion. This company has a legacy of more than 80 years in the world. This position requires your urgent attention.

  • Reporting to: Operations Director
  • Managing 30 headcounts.

the role

  • Oversee the electrical maintenance of three manufacturing facilities in Malaysia.
  • Supervise maintenance of induction furnaces, shaft furnaces, and associated electrical systems.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians, promoting collaboration and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and best practices.
  • Manage industrial automation systems, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, DC drives, and inverters.
  • Maintain 33kV power distribution systems, transformers, and LV systems.
  • Execute projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Design and implement energy efficiency programs to reduce consumption and improve sustainability.
  • Effectively manage contractors, ensuring quality and safety standards.
  • Stay updated on energy markets and electricity-related regulations to support business strategy.
  • Operationalize new production plants, integrating advanced electrical systems and technologies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including authorities and government agencies.

the experience

  • Possess at least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • At least 10 years of expertise in managing induction furnaces.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, DC drives, and inverters).
  • Experience in managing 33kV power distribution systems through to low voltage systems.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams.
